Security tower for theft prevention

In Budapest (Hungary) I have visited retail stores and my favorite discovery is shown on below picture. In front of the shop entrance you have a "security tower". You see a security agent observing the shop over three large flat screens. Whit a joystick he actively zooms into the departments, presents high resolution pictures of shelf's and customers on his screens. This cant be overseen by customers entering the store. Additionally he is in constant communication with the security agents in the shop. Upon request or as soon a alarm sensor of a electronic device goes of he can raise his hand holding a mobile camera to point it in any direction. An effective theft prevention who impressed me.
